  • Last week, we announced the feathery perk of SuperSea access. The SHINY team is finalizing the integration so stay tuned and hang tight for when your SuperSea subscription becomes active.
  • Speaking of feathers...644 feathers have been minted. If you haven't already, grab yours here.
  • Wondering about SHINY Mag utility? Here's a quick breakdown.
  • @BrandanAlex shared the Gwyneth Paltrow reveal of her ape which then started a conversation on if MoonPay is actually a good move for the space or not? For those who don't know, MoonPay acts as a concierge service for celebrities and will get them an nft (such as a Bored Ape, Cool Cat or any other popular nft) in exchange for exposure. You can follow the rest of the conversation here.
  • @Pet shares a tweet of someone genuinely asking why couldn't people use QR codes instead of NFTs? Which created a nice discussion around the actual utilities of the blockchain. @cf, @mark0 and @Pet all chimed in. What people often miss is the immutability of using blockchain technology. The fact that any web2 company can simply close down and the data of that QR code would just disappear. You can't do that on the blockchain. To read the entire discussion, you can start here.
  • Someone asked how to launch a successful NFT project before building the community. @tomjohn shares his insight that there's almost no way to get a collection to sell out without a community first. It's paramount that you make inroads, talk about the project, the goals, , and find out how to make advocates from your community.
  • @curtisjcummings launched a managed service to get exposure for Creepz.
  • @vlad.spasovich started a substack sharing their thoughts on the NFT space**.**
  • @Elena_nele is sharing plans for the Outsiders Genesis NFT release, and looking for your feedback.
  • @hathr0 and I are offering a service to review onboarding for DAOs, following their success with the Shiny proposal.
  • @kevin | plantdaddy.eth 's Epic Gardening has raised $17.5 million funding!
  • @Pet @curtisjcummings @corwin and @chrismaddern on the 3rd Floorcast podcast, featuring a section on @tomjohn | Blergs and a Blergs giveaway.
  • @tomludd minted his first work for sale.
  • @truedrew has issued a big update on his Ded.so NFT project.
  • @scottdavidmeyer wrote a new article on the intersection of web3 and education.
  • @atareh.eth wrote a mega-thread on Opensea's acquisition of Dharma.
  • @c0 | Tronic Racing wrote a thread on NFT contracts and how to split sales amongst a team of creators.
  • @shane just opened the $Beyond token for sale.
  • @JayMac opened up the Discord for the Arkivists NFT project, with Shiny getting the news before anywhere else!
  • @jayclouse is launching a Web3 Crash Course.
  • @Kallaway released the latest edition of the NFTeasers newsletter.
  • There's a glitch going on where listings made previously are resurfacing when nfts are transferred back into the lister's wallets. OpenSea finally added a listings manager so that you can cancel listings to fix this issue.
  • YouTube CEO says they will be exploring NFT integrations. Following on the footsteps of Meta last week, seems like more web2 social companies are trying to integrate web3 components.
  • Debate all you want about MoonPay being healthy or not for the space, but their latest release might help bring a lot of folks to nfts thanks to their NFT Checkout. It allows anyone to simply go from credit card -> NFT in simple steps. Best of all, it's blockchain agnostic as well.
  • Following the hot trails of Azuki, it seems like it's anime meta in nft land as A LOT have popped up in the past few weeks. Lives of Asuna is minting this week and already has a 1.8ETH floor during pre-sale. Capsule House which was released late 2021 is also having a huge surge because they announced new pfps for capsule house holders and are holding a 4ETH floor.
  • Zipcy minted out on the 27th and has been taking off. It's currently sitting north of a 2ETH floor with several happy SHINY holders.
  • This week was huge for Creepz and Magic in SHINY -- both commanding their own Discord channel. For those interested in Magic, @Danny P shared six strategies to get involved.
  • There has been lots of talk about getting whitelisted for projects in the Shiny discord. Here is @cf’s project watchlist. @Larkef shared this watchlist google docs from another discord. Here is @Janel’s current watchlist ranked in order of excitement. Finally, here is a thread by 0xBender, sharing how he organizes his projects on Discord.
  • The RaidParty auction happened this past Saturday and a few Shiny members won some genesis heroes! You can follow along the fun in the newly created #🏹|raid-party channel in the discord.
  • What happens when you fall down the Web3 rabbit hole? You end up in The Immersion Den. @bramk shares this excellent resource covering everything you might want to know about the space.
  • The Ultimate Guide to Designing Effective Token Launches
  • A lot of NFT Twitter accounts have started to type out discord invite links or share images with the discord link, forcing you to mannually type it. If you want to snipe it faster than others, @Janel shares this tool that automatically detects the text on an image and copies it to your clipboard.
